Your Soul’s Dance is a unique-every-time dance journey for each individual person.   It involves participation, self-exploration, witnessing, and celebration with self and others.  There are no steps to follow, because each person has their own steps and rhythm in expression of their body, heart, mind and soul at any particular time and space.   When a person feels free to express themselves in movement to music, without judgement, various layers of stuck energy are released and what follows is always a sense of freedom and joy.   There are no beginner or advanced students… everyone is always entering the space of the unknown and always the experience is new.  The nice thing is that the process is very simple and does not involve any thinking or analyzing, or any kind of deep mental processing… whatever happens, happens effortlessly.  One’s physical state is of no consequence because one can move as little or as much as they feel to.   The important thing is to feel the music, to move freely, to stay centered in the self and to let go.   The foundation is on inner awareness throughout the movement, allowing the body, heart and soul to move as it truly feels like moving, releasing, and expressing.

On the physical level, dance is a whole-body workout that is fun (effortless).   Dance is more than the exploring of different ways to make a shape or learning a series of steps to music; it is a way of moving that uses the body as an instrument of expression and communication.

The new man that the Indian mystic Osho speaks about is one who is an authentic human being, who is blend of a Zorba the Greek and Siddartha the Buddha.   Someone who can let their hair down and dance in the moonlight while peacefully watching the swans sitting on the lake.

“Your ecstasy is a movement towards the height and your meditation is a movement towards the depth. And once you have both, your life becomes a celebration.”  Osho
